Dragonwilds Duo PVP — No Wipe · 📌 pinned

Server rules — read before you build

PixelMonsters · US Mid · 6 slots · Public · PVP always on · We don't wipe

209.126.11.33:29000 — no password, just join.

The short version

Teams of two. Everyone else is a target. Your base stays where you built it.

This is a small server that runs on people being straight with each other. Read "How this actually works" at the bottom before you decide it's for you.

The rules

1. Two players per team

You play solo or with one partner.

The game has no group system, so nothing stops a third player tagging along — which is exactly why this is a duo ruleset, admin-enforced, rather than a setting. If you want three-player squads, this isn't the server.

2. One account per person

No alts, no second accounts, no sharing your login.

On six slots this matters more than anywhere else: two people running four accounts would lock out an entire third duo. If you want to play a different character, delete your old one.

3. Don't team up outside your duo

The test is simple: are you making someone else's game easier? If yes, and they're not your partner, don't.

That covers the obvious things — fighting alongside a third player, sharing a base or storage, standing down by mutual agreement. It also covers the less obvious ones: dropping a kit somewhere for another duo to collect, leaving a chest unlocked for them, or dying to them on purpose with good gear on. Routing gear through the floor instead of your hands is still a handoff.

Two duos independently attacking the same target isn't teaming. Arranging it is.

4. Solo is fine

You don't need a partner to play here. Team up later if you want — see rule 5.

5. Changing partners

Say so in Discord when it happens. That's the whole process.

The one restriction: if you walk out on a duo during or straight after a fight, sit out 48 hours before joining another. It stops people bailing to whoever just beat them. It doesn't apply if your partner left, quit, or got removed — you're free immediately, and you shouldn't be punished for someone else's decision.

Admins don't adjudicate breakups. Whatever you built together, sort it out between you — and be aware that the moment you're not partners, you're enemies, and normal raiding rules apply to everything you built together.

6. Raiding is the point. Griefing isn't.

Fine: raiding, killing on sight, stealing, ambushing, holding a contested area, breaking whatever's in your way to get to the loot.

Not fine:

  • Killing the same player more than twice in a row at their respawn point. Take the kills, take the loot, then let them move.
  • Sealing someone out of their own base rather than taking what's in it.
  • Flattening a starter camp that has nothing in it worth taking.

These are written as thresholds rather than intentions on purpose. Admins can't read your mind and won't try to.

7. Don't cheat

No exploits, no duping, no tools that change how the game behaves. Mods that alter the player cap count here too.

If you find a bug, tell us and you're clear — including if you already triggered it by accident. That amnesty is real and it's how we find out about this stuff. What gets you removed is knowingly using one after you know it's there.

Duping is the one we care about most, because on a server that never wipes, a broken economy is permanent.

8. Don't be vile

Slurs, harassment, and threats get you removed. Trash talk during a raid doesn't — there's a difference between "get wrecked" and going after who someone is.

What happens when someone breaks the rules

Admins go on what they can actually check: server logs, and screenshots or clips you send us. Bring evidence if you're reporting someone.

What happenedWhat we do
Teaming, first timeWarning, and any gear that changed hands gets removed
Teaming againRemoved from the server
GriefingWarning, or removal if it's deliberate and repeated
Cheating or dupingRemoved
HarassmentRemoved immediately

We won't roll the world back to undo player damage. Backups here are whole-world — restoring your griefed base would erase every other player's progress since the last save, which breaks the one promise this server is built on. Rollbacks are for genuine server faults only (corruption, a catastrophic bug), and we'd announce one before doing it.

So: griefing is punished, not reversed. Build accordingly, and don't put everything in one chest.

How this actually works

Some honesty, because you'll work it out anyway and we'd rather say it upfront.

Bans are soft. The server is public with no password, so anyone we remove could make a new account and come back. We keep removing them. What actually keeps this server pleasant is that it's six people who mostly know each other — not enforcement. If that sounds fragile, it is, and it's the trade we've made for being open.

Six slots is a hard cap. Jagex sets it in the server itself; it went from 4 to 6 in March 2026 and stays there. We can't raise it and neither can our host.

Slots are first-come, every session. Nothing is reserved. Three duos online is a full server, and at peak time you may not get in. We'd rather run one honest server than pretend there's room we don't have.

Nobody's base is protected by absence. If you stop playing, your base stays — we don't wipe. But if you've been gone 60 days and someone needs the space, admins may clear it. Say something in Discord if you're going away and want it kept.

Established players have a head start. No wipes means someone who joined in month one has a base you won't match quickly. That's the deal with persistent servers. If you want a level start, wait for a fresh one.

Housekeeping

  • Server restarts daily at 05:00 America/Chicago, back within a minute.
  • Backups run nightly, with monthly copies kept off-platform.
  • PVP is always on. There are no safe zones and no PVE hours.

Questions go in #dragonwilds on the PixelMonsters Discord.

PixelMonsters Soulmask Guild

Soulmask August Overhaul Report: What's Next?

Hey, Chieftains! Before we knew it, we're already well past the halfway point of our 90-Day Overhaul Plan.If you've been keeping up with Soulmask lately, you've probably noticed that something is stirring once again deep within the Shifting Sands. A new region, new Masks, and the secrets still waiting to be uncovered behind that world floating in the sky... Honestly, Maggie has been holding back for a long time just to keep herself from spilling everything right at the start. But before we venture farther, we'd like to pause and look back at the ground we've already covered. Over the past two months, we haven't just been adding more content to the world. We've also been working to remove, one by one, the everyday frustrations Chieftains encounter on their journeys. What Have We Addressed Over the Past Two Months?Long story short, throughout June and July, we focused on several issues that repeatedly affected the day-to-day experience.Tribesmen are no longer quite so obsessed with running back and forth between storage chests. You shouldn't have to keep wondering whether someone is contemplating the meaning of life at the foot of the stairs again.World Portals now truly connect the two worlds, allowing you to travel freely between Golden Sands and Misty Forest.Building has also become much easier. Pick up any building hammer, and you can build directly using raw materials from your inventory and camp storage chests. We've reworked a range of attack animations, jumps, evade, stagger, and hit reactions.Boss disengage timers, health regeneration rates, and certain values have also been adjusted. We want combat to be challenging, not unreasonable. As for the HUD, we're still approaching it with care. We've started with status details, quest guidance, and control prompts, making sure everything appears where it belongs.Alright, that's enough looking back for now.Because in August, we want to tackle a different kind of problem: As your world grows larger, your tribe expands, and its systems become more complex, how can we make sure you can still understand your entire tribe at a glance?A New Look for the Main MenuPreviously, pressing \ brought up more than a dozen modules at once, including Character, Mask, Crafting, Technology, and Tribe Management. They're all important, and that was precisely the problem: when you wanted just one of them, searching through that wall of menus was hardly a comfortable experience. This time, we've reorganized all of that content into a two-tier menu under the \ interface. The first tier divides everything into broad categories, while the second opens the specific pages within each category. Whether you're checking character progression or handling crafting and tribe affairs, we hope this clearer structure will help you find the module you need as intuitively as possible. The \ screen is now a much cleaner function menu:We prefer to think of this UI overhaul as tidying up a room. Nothing has disappeared; everything has simply been put back where it belongs.Of course, redesigning the Main Menu is only the first step. Next, we decided to begin with the area that takes up the most time and causes the most confusion: assigning work to your Tribesmen. The Right Job for Every TribesmanWhen a tribe is first established, assigning jobs isn't complicated. With only three or five Tribesmen around, Chieftains generally know who is good at logging and who should be cooking. But things change completely once your camp grows into a large settlement with fully loaded automation lines and warehouses overflowing with materials. You may have dozens of Tribesmen, each with different proficiencies, talents, and job statuses. Having to open their pages one at a time... well, we're sure the Chieftains who have been through it remember the experience all too well. That's why we've created a new Tribesman Work Assignment UI. All Tribesmen and jobs are arranged in one clear matrix, where you can review their current assignments and quickly filter for Tribesmen with the right talents for each job. For example, when you need a truly reliable craftsman, candidates with a maximum proficiency of 100 or higher will immediately stand out from the crowd.More importantly, job assignments are no longer a simple choice between "do" and "don't." Together with the camp inventory system, you can tell your Tribesmen what matters most right now and what can wait.Perhaps you want your miners to secure the metal supply before hauling miscellaneous items. Or perhaps an experienced cook can tend the fields during quieter periods, but should return to the stove immediately whenever food stocks run low. We don't want Chieftains to have to watch every Tribesman's status like a babysitter, constantly reminding them what to do next.New Weapon Mastery TrainingThe Training Ground now has a more important role to play. You can assign mentors and trainees, allowing Tribesmen to learn any Weapon Mastery through training. The once rigid skill boundaries between different weapon proficiencies can now be broken here. This means that when you meet a Tribesman truly worth bringing home, you no longer need to hesitate just because they're missing one powerful Mastery. You can preserve their strengths, then fill in what's missing through training, gradually shaping them into the warrior you truly need and a companion you can rely on.Instead of endlessly searching for someone who was "born perfect," you can now tailor a warrior of your own.Another Chance After You FallIn the world of Soulmask, a single lapse in judgment can bring you down in seconds.Maybe the boss's next attack comes faster than expected. Maybe one roll is half a second too slow. Once your HP reaches zero, all you can do is watch everything start over. That's why we've added a new ability: .When the player-controlled character is Severely Injured or in Feign Death, you can use it to restore all HP. It has a 60-second cooldown and is unavailable in War Mode. In other words, it doesn't make danger disappear. Instead, at the worst possible moment, it puts the choice back in your hands.Once you're back on your feet, whether you create some distance and make your escape or continue the unfinished battle is entirely up to you.The Most Important Part Is Still AheadBut we know that some Chieftains have been waiting since the beginning for us to talk about something else.Deep within Golden Sands lie an entirely new region, brand-new Masks, the secret that allows this world to float in the sky, and the true nature of the Sun God... All of them are hidden among dangers no one has yet set foot in.For now, please allow Maggie to keep this part a little mysterious. We'll see you then

Survivors who learn to work with them in tandem may find that what one head starts, another can finish with devastating results. Whether you ride alone or bring your tribe along, there's clearly more than one way to unleash this three-headed terror. The Cerberax is coming as part of ARK Fantastic Tames Season 1 on September 30. Before we get there… Astraeos' final update arrives August 26! The 5th Expedition

The fifth Expedition window is fast approaching, and with it come a few changes. Based on your feedback, in upcoming Expeditions you’ll be able to opt out of resetting your quest progress, the departure window will be extended by one week, and there won’t be the last call feature this time around. Additionally, we will be pausing Expeditions for a short while to dig deeper into the core systems and make them feel more rewarding and fun! TIMINGExpedition Window opens on September 8, 1pm CEST/11am UTC/4am PT, and closes September 29 10am CEST/8am UTC/1am PT.As with all previous Expeditions, completing your Caravan does not count as signing up for the Expedition, you still have to sign up during the window and this time around there is no ‘last call’ feature. Expeditions are a personal progression that players complete in order. The Caravan can be completed in between Expedition windows but finishing the Expedition can only be done during the scheduled Expedition window.HOW TO DO THE EXPEDITIONComplete the CaravanThe option to contribute to the Caravan starts as soon as you complete the previous Expedition and if this is your first Expedition, you can start contributing right away.Wait for the Expedition WindowThe next window opens on September 8, 1pm CEST/11am UTC/4am PT, and closes on September 29, 10am CEST/8am UTC/1am PT.Sign UpOnce the Expedition window opens, you need to sign up.Complete the ChallengeIn order to get the rewards, players will need to complete a challenge within the Expedition Window (more details below).Catch UpCatch up on missed skill points (max 5 per Expedition) for players on their second, third or fourth Expedition (more details below).DepartEveryone that signed up departs on September 29.No Last CallMake sure to sign up for departure during the window. WHAT’S NEWOpt-in Quest resetWe have seen your feedback about the quest line feeling repetitive after every Expedition. To address this, we want to give you the option not to reset your quests and keep your progress so you can continue from where you left off. Since the Hullcracker Blueprint can only be obtained through the quest line, we will give you other ways to get it.No Last CallMake sure to sign up during the departure window so you don’t miss out on the Expedition. The expedition window is extended from two to three weeks.REWARDSThe complete Zenith OutfitMystery Rewards+12 stash space, maxed out at 60Skill points:The bonus skill points from Expeditions cap at 15. Players can still catch-up on previously missed skill points and it’s still tied to stash value. Catch-up for skill points becomes available with your second Expedition and once you get all the maximum 15 skill points, the catch-up is no longer available.Consecutive buffs: The XP boost, Scrappy materials boost and repair value increase capped at three levels.TrialsThe season currently ongoing will end on September 22, and after that Trials will be on pause for two weeks until October 8. FUTURE EXPEDITIONSWe have been carefully reviewing your feedback on Expeditions, and while we've made ongoing improvements along the way, we've come to realize that some of the issues you've raised, like the tight departure windows, the reward structure, and accessibility for new players, need more than incremental fixes. They call for bigger changes. In order to address those concerns, we need to pause the Expeditions for a while. The fifth Expedition will be the last one until early 2027, when Expeditions will return with major improvements, tackling some of the biggest player pain points. So, if you’ve been on the fence about departing - now is the time! We will share more details on what those changes will look like in September.During the pause period, any of the consecutive buffs you have earned will persist so no progress is lost. If you have completed all five Expeditions, the Zenith Outfit will be fully unlocked. Also, since Caravans will be reset, any partially completed Caravans will be replaced with Ermal Vouchers of equal value which can be used to purchase Ermal offers together with ARC Parts and firearms trade, or sold for Coin. As always, keep the feedback coming. Let us know what you think, and we will continue to make improvements. The ARC Raiders Team

PixelMonsters ARC Raiders Squad

Live Update 1.42.0

Raiders! Update 1.42.0 is live right now and with it a number of fixes, a second part of the Phantom Targets event with the Anomalia Outfit, a new Player Project, improved map condition scheduling, and new Twitch drops. HIGHLIGHTSPhantom Targets Event & Phantom Targets Part 2 Raider ProjectThe Tick Hunter Set is now availableImproved Regional Map Condition ScheduleAn Update on Anti-Cheat and Fair PlayNew Twitch Drops (Car Freshener & Ceramic Vase)Rubber Duck Competition Winners Phantom Targets RevealedThanks to the assistance of many Raiders, Shani finally pinpointed the source of the phantom targets: erratic Wasps. These ARC units are exhibiting behavior she’s never seen before: emitting strange noises, flying in irregular patterns, and carrying unidentifiable tech. They’re all swarming towards one location. She needs further assistance to understand what’s waiting for them there.Improvements to Map Condition Scheduling We have been working to make sure that the way we schedule Map Conditions is aligned with your playing habits. To that end, we’re introducing Regional Map Condition Scheduling. Starting with 1.42.0, Map Conditions will have their schedule offset based on regions, instead of a single, global schedule. This means that the schedule will shift to fit specific regions' peak hours to better match your experience. This way, it’ll be less likely to miss out on a map condition regardless of where you are. Don’t hesitate to tell us how Regional Map Condition schedules are working by chatting with us on our Discord! We’re eager to see what everyone’s experience is like and make adjustments accordingly. Note: the Map Condition tracker on the website now reflects this change.Following up about Fair Play It’s time to look at what’s been going on in the realm of Fair Play since our last chat a few weeks back. Some new (and some recurring) topics have crossed our path since then, and we wanted to reassure you that keeping Topside safe against cheaters and exploits is a top priority for us, and will continue to be so.A Note on Third Party SoftwareWhen we see reports of third party software being used to gain an advantage of any kind, in-game or at account level, we investigate. The first and most important step is to verify the validity of the report and whether or not the software actually does what it claims to do. A lot of the time, claims are just that, and interacting with this kind of software carries a large amount of risk. Be aware that downloading unverified and unofficial software can put more than just your account at risk. Beyond getting banned and losing access to the game, your data and personal information could be exposed. Remember that your account is only as secure as its weakest link. In order to protect your account, your purchases and progression, we strongly recommend making sure 2FA or passkeys are enabled on all external accounts connected to your Embark ID. Oh, and never share your credentials with anyone. No matter how many ducks they offer.Recent Actions & Future PlansOver the past few weeks, we have been making several improvements alongside Anybrain and Denuvo Anti-Cheat. This has resulted in swift action being taken against a large number of accounts that were using recently popularized cheating software. There is also the matter of ensuring permanent sanctions for serial, blatant cheaters. We continue working on methods that make it more difficult for new accounts to be obtained and that discourage cheaters from returning. There have been compounding improvements in our ability to also detect accounts that participated in what we classify as “economy exploits”, which means we can more quickly sanction offenders. These types of sanctions have been ongoing. Additionally, we have several simultaneous initiatives that are meant to address teaming and general matchmaking abuse. We know how important having a consistently good experience is, and that in certain regions or at certain times, it’s easier to run into groups of players that try to force their way into lobbies and engage in griefing. We’ll share more when all of these are ready. And that’s, of course, not all. We’ll keep building up all of the initiatives we mentioned and we’ll do our best to make sure that your experiences across the Rust Belt are fun, thrilling, and most importantly fair. Congratulations to the Winners of the Rubber Duck Design Contest!Last Thursday, the 3 finalists of the Rubber Duck Design Contest were selected via popular vote on our Discord. We have since begun working on bringing the ducks into the game, and we will add them in a future update! ICYMI: Season 4 - Top Gun is now live!

We’re really excited to see all the discussion, positive vibes, as well as your feedback and bug reports for Phase 2 of Season 4, Top Gun.While we’re seeing a lot of you have already jumped in and sunk Carriers, explored Wake Island, and engaged in dogfights aplenty, we wanted to give a quick recap for those who might have been stuck at work or taking care of other important business.Guides, Features and Update NotesTop Gun has brought in new modes, the return of Wake Island, and plenty of changes and adjustments, so here’s a quick recap as well as links to the full information if you’re looking for more. CARRIER STRIKE IS BACKTsuru Reef is under siege.Striking the USS Grant aircraft carrier base, Pax Armata is primed to destabilize NATO’s dominance in the Pacific by deploying their own carrier, the PXS Condor. If NATO wants to maintain their stronghold on Tsuru Reef -- and prevent Pax from laying claim to another sector of the world -- they're going to have to fight for it.Learn more about the fan favourite mode returning in Battlefield 6 in our Top Gun: Carrier Strike Mode Guide here: https://www.ea.com/games/battlefield/battlefield-6/news/top-gun-carrier-strike-mode-guideUPDATE NOTES, QUALITY-OF-LIFE IMPROVEMENTSOf course, Top Gun arrived with detailed changes that you can find in our 1.4.2.0 Update Notes. One of the quality-of-life changes you might have missed is the new ADS Dispersion Crosshair. We have introduced a new option that allows an indicator that represents the current amount of Dispersion (AKA Bloom/Spread) that the weapon has when aiming down sight. When shooting while aiming down sight with an automatic weapon, you will notice that the size of that shape increases, which communicates that the weapon is becoming inaccurate. When moving, you can also see how the accuracy is affected. This option intends to help players understand how Dispersion functions and to learn to improve their shooting technique with that mechanic in mind. The option called “ADS Dispersion Crosshair” can be found under HUD/CROSSHAIR and is by default enabled in the firing range only but can be fully turned OFF or enabled in any multiplayer experiences. In addition, the option comes with its own opacity slider and color picker so that you can customize the visibility of the indicator to your liking.Check out the Update Notes for all changes that arrived on August 18! LEARN TO FLYAn important aspect in Top Gun is, you guessed it, flying! Not only are two new jets available on Wake Island, including a two-seater, but you can also duke it out in the brand new Gauntlet: Fighter Sweep mode.Nervous flyer? No problem, we have just the thing for you. As of the Season 4 Update 1.4.2.0, there’s a new way to fly:Simplified Jet Controls are similar to the Simplified Helicopter Controls from launch, in that it is an alternative and “simpler” method to control jets. Essentially, instead of manually adjusting the pitch, roll, and yaw in order to fly, you only need to look in the direction you wish to fly, and the jet will align relative to where you look.  Want to know more? Check out the Aerial Vehicles Guide here: https://www.ea.com/games/battlefield/redsec/news/aerial-vehicles-guide-how-to-fly-jets Ready to practice what you read? Head to the Air Vehicle Sandbox in Portal. Search for experience code 1264G and test your pilot skills. For the latest updates, keep an eye on Steam Discussions and our BattlefieldComm X account. Word from the Devs: Almost there…

Greetings vikings! We hope you’re having a wonderful summer! We’re currently gearing up for the 1.0 release in September, fixing some final bugs and getting everything ready for you to experience in just a few weeks. We hope you’re as excited as we are! In the meantime, please do make sure you check out our 1.0 FAQ, which covers many of the questions we have been asked about the release. As always, we recommend that you start a new playthrough to get the best possible Valheim experience, but we also understand that many of you will want to visit the Deep North as soon as you can, and we have tried to answer any questions relating to that! And one last time in case you missed it, the 1.0 announcement trailer: As you know, next week we will be at Gamescom in Cologne, and we really hope to see some of you there. If you’re visiting, make sure to stop by our booth in hall 10 and say hello! And regardless if you’re there or not, make sure to keep an eye out for a brand new trailer that will be premiering during the event. We will be seeing some familiar faces… And with that, we’ll see you on the other side of 1.0! Build of the Month For many years now, we have been sharing your wonderful and creative buildings under this headline. With the Early Access journey coming to an end, we will also be wrapping up this particular segment – though we will of course still be curious to see what it is you’re building in the game. Keep an eye out on our social channels, because you can be certain that we will be asking you to share what you’ve made! To round off, we will highlight two builds this time. First out is The Bridge by myboyklaus. Look at all those creative solutions! And last, but not least, we want to direct your attention to the Cathedral of the All-Father, built by Ayriv. Since we’ll be going to Cologne it feels only fitting, after all! Find us in Hall 6 between August 26th-30th in Cologne, Germany where you'll be able to get your hands on our upcoming console version and single-player mode. Come say hello!  Developer Deep Dive The beautiful concept art we have to share with this issue is the Water Shipper Drillshot and Water Shipper Rapier by our Senior Concept Artist, Ricky Westwood. For the Water Shipper weaponry, we wanted to continue the flowing lines & covered workings we had laid down with their version of the scout ornithopter but bring in elements of the character designs (such as the padding motifs) and therefore bridge these design languages further. Finally, we wanted some piece of shared industrial identity that would affect the silhouette, the circular motif works well for this. Community Corner You’ve all been busy the last month creating and sharing some incredible content. Take a look and get inspired to create your own for a chance to be featured in our next Signal! Those that do receive keys to the Atreides Battle Rifle Skin. Fanart and Creations A beautiful Crysknife by u/Agreeable-Worker7659. How it was made: “The model was printed with a 0.2mm nozzle on P1S from a white PLA and then stained with tea and some alcohol inks to give it that bone look and painted with epoxy and polished. The hilt was painted with a silver spray paint and the crevices in the handle were filled with stained epoxy for some extra depth.” More pictures and comments here on Reddit! Fantastic drawings of u/Mello_mi’s Planetologist character. Reddit post here.  A hand drawn portrait of OldNorseMyth’s character, Mordecai Finrow, a runaway from Giedi Prime: “He doesn’t know about his past there, but he has deep technological knowledge and a strong sword arm only a Ginaz graduate could have.” A fantastic portrait of Remmius’s CHOAM Merc character with a warm orange glow. Thatguykal on Discord has created an amazing watch face using Garmin SDK. They commented some details on how it works: “Stamina is hooked up to the stress metric so it decreases with stress. Health is hooked up to recovery, so it goes down as you do exercise and goes back to full when you're ready to do more exercise. Power can be switched between body battery or actual watch battery. Hydration is just a timer basically, it goes down over 2hrs and when you tap on the gauge it goes back to full.” Whether you’re with a guild or solo, a new or veteran player, or looking for a couple of things to finish of your next project, u/garrisoncarI has you covered. Find many more photos and details on Reddit here! Kazaij on Discord has created a build dubbed The “Pub” that anyone is welcome to visit. This can be found in the PVE DD - North Sector H3 Border to H2. PixelMonsters No Man's Sky Fleet

Celebrating 10 Years (!) of No Man's Sky

Hello! I feel surprisingly emotional today. Ten years ago, on 9th August 2016, Travellers across the universe set foot on their first alien planet in No Man’s Sky. Perhaps you were there ten years ago, or maybe you joined later. It’s very cool to me that all around the universe, other Travellers have woken up on countless other planets, light years apart from each other. They took their first steps on their first planet and brought a new unexplored universe into existence together. Since then millions of players have made No Man’s Sky their home, created insane bases, built communities, made friends, and built really creative custom ships. For any game to reach its ten-year milestone is impressive and I think that is especially true for No Man’s Sky. It’s really a testament to the passion of the team here and of the players for the game. Over the last decade, the No Man’s Sky players have joined us in another type of journey as we grew, expanded and deepened what No Man’s Sky could be. With now 40 major updates, all free, we have expanded our sandbox universe with base-building, exocraft, settlements, mechs, pets, living ships, expeditions and rebuilt the universe several times over. Support for Switch, XBox, VR, PSVR, Switch 2, PS5, XBX and more has been added along the way. Since then tens of millions of Travellers have spent hundreds of millions of hours exploring and sharing their discoveries and the universe is more vibrant now than it ever has been… and still, all these years later players have explored less than 1% of the planets in No Man’s Sky. In a similar way our small team feels we have a lot left to explore in what No Man’s Sky can be. In the background we are busy cooking on our next game Light No Fire, and big things for the future of No Man’s Sky, with the tease of our upcoming update titled “COSMOS”. More will follow!I consider myself exceedingly lucky to work with the people I do, on a game I love with one of the nicest communities in video games. Our journey continues Sean

PixelMonsters ARK Clan

Community Crunch 518: Long Live the King!

The ground is beginning to shake again. Once upon a time, the Giganotosaurus was the undisputed king of the ARKs. Few creatures could stand against it, and hearing its roar in the distance was enough to send even seasoned Survivors scrambling for safety, and taming one was a milestone few ever forgot. As the years went by and new apex predators emerged, the Giga gradually found itself sharing the spotlight. With this TLC, our goal is to restore the presence, power, and identity that made it the terror of the wilderness in the first place. We're excited to share an early look at that journey with the first concept art for the Giganotosaurus TLC. Our focus is on restoring the Giga's commanding presence and ensuring it once again stands shoulder to shoulder with the mightiest predators roaming the ARKs. Download in full resolution As part of that journey, we’re exploring new ways to remind Survivors why a wounded Giganotosaurus has always been one of the most terrifying sights on the ARKs. The closer it is pushed to the brink, the more dangerous it becomes... and that kind of fury can be contagious. Creatures brave enough to crowd around its feet may soon discover it has a crushing answer of its own, but when its temper finally boils over, friend and foe alike would be wise to give it room. The king of the food chain is preparing for its return.  Transfers on Genesis Ascended Part 1 Official servers will open on September 4th, allowing players to move items, creatures, and characters onto the map without restriction! PixelMonsters Battlefield 6 Platoon

Battlefield 6 - Anticheat Metrics - June

Hey Soldier,June was the majority of Season 3, and it’s been giving us lots of learnings as our first Ranked Season. In the previous May update, June started at 5.09% and stabilized at 5.52%. Refer to our January update, where we discussed how MIR updates to understand how and why these shifts occur in more detail. We previously called out the upcoming enforcement of TPM 2.0, and the anticheat warning has been active for a few weeks. Our aim is to ensure the majority of players have resolved their issues before we flip the switch to block bad-actors using it to circumvent detection, expect it within a few weeks. Refer to the published How do I use TPM 2.0 on my PC? article for guidance and resolution steps, and thank you for helping us keep our Battlefield secure against bad-actors.June: Results & ImpactMatch Infection Rate: The percentage of matches across the title that were negatively impacted by at least one cheater. This includes all suspected cheaters, even those we might not have enough evidence to enforce against. In June, MIR started at 5.52%. This continued on a slow increase till an initial peak at 6.37% on the 11th. Then a slight decrease over the month until the 24th, when it began to increase from 5.88% till the end of June, when it was at 6.59% as of writing this update. We’ve previously called out our efforts to minimize impacts to legitimate players for TPM 2.0. This does incur a tradeoff, allowing MIR to climb slightly during the warning period. Once we enable that enforcement to remove that avenue from bad-actors, we expect a good positive impact and to be able to release some dependent detections and enforcements. We are also updating our set of prohibited hardware/software that will see blocks, warnings and enforcements during Season 4. Season 3 gave us reason to re-evaluate new features/uses that may cross the line into undermining fair play. More info to follow in an Anticheat Update for Season 4.Through June, EA Javelin Anti-Cheat prevented 226,592 attempts to cheat or tamper with the game before they could impact matches. We are presently still tracking a total of 112(+2) active cheat-related programs, hardware solutions, vendors, resellers, and their associated communities, and out of these, 107 (+6) are reporting related feature failures, detection notices, downtime, or fully taking their cheats offline (95.53%).Keep it fair out there - see you on the Battlefield. Battlefield 6 - Community Update - Top Gun Incoming

Top Gun UpdateWake Island Returns on August 18Carrier Strike and Fighter SweepNew Hardware and Fort Lyndon POIGameplay UpdatesCombat Experience UpdatesMatchmakingPortalTake FlightHey everyone, With Season 4, Tsuru Reef brought a larger playfield, dynamic waves, and new routes across the islands that lean into All-Out Warfare combat. From the look and feel of the water to the way the map creates new routes across the islands, it has been great to see players discovering how the space flows and where the biggest fights start to form.Top Gun UpdateThe Top Gun Update arrives on August 18, bringing the next wave of Season 4 content to Battlefield 6 with Wake Island, new air-focused experiences, new hardware, a new POI on Fort Lyndon in Battle Royale, and more amazing Portal experiences. Let’s dive into what's coming next. Wake Island Returns on August 18Wake Island has always been known for its open combat lanes, island-wide momentum swings, and the kind of combined arms warfare where infantry, vehicles, and aircraft all have room to shape the fight. Reimagined around the modern sandbox, this iteration of Wake Island comes with a stronger focus on naval warfare and large-scale conflict across land, air, and sea. Carrier-based HQs anchor both sides of the battle, while the surrounding waters and island layout create new opportunities for vehicle play, infantry pushes, and aerial support.Whether you’re storming the island, defending key routes by boat, or fighting for control from above, Wake Island is built to deliver the kind of all-out Battlefield moments that make every match feel different.Carrier Strike and Fighter SweepThis update brings two new modes built around air combat, objective play, and team coordination as part of the Top Gun collaboration. Carrier Strike is a new mode where both teams fight to destroy the enemy carrier. Capture key sectors across the island, deploy vehicles, and create openings for pilots to strike deeper into enemy territory. As the carrier takes damage, the battle escalates with a final objective inside the vessel, turning the match into one last coordinated assault to finish the fight. Fighter Sweep arrives in REDSEC as a new Gauntlet mission. Take down enemy jets and destroy stockpiles placed across the playspace to build your team’s score. Challenge rivals in a dogfight, dive on objectives, or break away under pressure while your squad looks for the next opportunity to take the lead. Do you have what it takes to become the next Top Gun? New Hardware and Fort Lyndon POIThe Top Gun collaboration also brings new hardware to the battlefield. The Interdictor joins the weapon lineup as a new sniper rifle, while the F/A-81F Super Spectre and F-74A Seacat arrive as new two-seat jets. We are also adding a new POI to Fort Lyndon, known as USS Grant, for Battle Royale. The Crashed Carrier will feature higher-value loot than standard POIs, and for the first few weeks after launch it will be tagged as a High Value Zone to help squads quickly find and contest the new location. Gameplay UpdatesCombat Experience UpdatesWe’re continuing to make updates across the combat experience. ADS Dispersion CrosshairWe’ve heard that it is not always clear how sustained fire and movement affect weapon accuracy, particularly while aiming down sights. To make that behavior easier to understand, we’re introducing an optional ADS Dispersion Crosshair. When firing an automatic weapon while aiming down sights, the indicator will expand as dispersion increases, showing that your weapon is becoming less accurate during sustained fire. Movement will also be reflected, helping you better understand how your accuracy changes while repositioning or engaging on the move. The goal is to give players a clearer visual read on how dispersion works, especially as you practice burst control, movement, and weapon handling. By default, this option is enabled in the Firing Range only, but it can be turned off entirely or enabled in multiplayer experiences through the settings. It also includes its own opacity slider and color options so you can adjust its visibility to your preference. Airplane Control AssistWith this update bringing new aircraft and new air-focused experiences, we also want to highlight Airplane Control Assist. This setting is designed to help more players get comfortable in the skies and better understand the control options available to them. Whether you’re a returning pilot or a player taking off for the first time, we encourage you to check your settings and try the control scheme that feels best for you. After all, it’s not just the plane, it’s the pilot. GunplayThank you for continuing to share feedback on gunplay, time-to-kill, and time-to-death. Our goal is to keep combat responsive and rewarding while making sure players have enough time to understand what happened and respond when a fight begins. As we shared previously, our initial findings showed TTD increasing across most weapons and ranges following the last major gunplay update. Those results have remained steady so far, and we’ll continue to monitor as we evaluate where further tuning may be needed. Gameplay data from live matches also shows more cases where players who are eliminated still manage to deal damage before going down. This tells us more players are getting an opportunity to react and fight back during firefights. We do not want to push too far and make enemies feel like bullet sponges, so our focus is on reviewing weapon performance, identifying outliers, and exploring balance adjustments, including opportunities to improve underperforming weapons. MatchmakingWe recently made playlist adjustments across all regions to help improve matchmaking health, queue times, and match quality across the most active modes. These changes are intended to better align players around modes with strong activity while still keeping flexibility through Portal and Custom Search. We’re already reviewing early feedback and tracking the data to understand how these adjustments affect the overall health of matchmaking. We’ll continue monitoring closely and make additional changes where needed. We are continuing to read your concerns and feedback around matchmaking, so we are also planning to discuss matchmaking in more detail, where we’ll go deeper on our goals, what we’re seeing in the data, and where further improvements can be made. PortalIntroducing the Portal Advanced Editor ProgramThe Advanced Editor is where selected Portal creators gain access to new experimental tools, including baked lighting and terrain editing. These additions improve visual fidelity through baked lighting, improved performance, and unlock new creative possibilities by allowing creators to reshape landscapes through heightmap editing and terrain shader painting with materials such as grass, dirt, and rock. Throughout the initial rollout, we'll continue working closely with participating builders as we gather feedback and refine the tools. As part of the preliminary rollout of the Advanced Editor, we selected Bellum1988's Custom Operation Metro experience for inclusion in the Portal SDK. Built using baked lighting, it showcases the visual improvements and creative possibilities made possible by these new tools. We used this map as an internal test of the tools we'll be rolling out in our Advanced Editor. During this preliminary rollout, additional selected creators will receive access to the tools. As experiences are completed, reviewed, and approved, we'll publish selected builders' creations to the Portal SDK for the community to explore and build upon. Our goal as the program evolves is to continue refining how the program grows, with the goal of refining iteration workflows and improving how we support builders using these advanced features. The Advanced Editor is designed to further empower builders who are pushing the boundaries of what's possible in Portal while helping us refine these advanced tools through real-world use. As the program develops, we'll continue expanding the program while celebrating the incredible experiences the community creates. Whether you're part of the initial wave or not, we encourage everyone to keep building, experimenting, and sharing their creations with us; your efforts help shape the future of Portal. If you're interested in gaining access, we'll be introducing an interest sign-up in the future. In the meantime, the best way to stand out is by continuing to create unique experiences and engaging with the Portal community. Tsuru ReefPlayers will be able to create custom experiences on Tsuru Reef, one of our largest Battlefield maps. Built for combat across land, sea, and air, it offers plenty of room for flanking, vehicle warfare, and a variety of ways to approach each objective. We can't wait to see what the community builds with it! Wake IslandWake Island will be available for Verified Experiences and later in the season for Custom Experiences. Reimagined for the modern Battlefield sandbox, it features a greater emphasis on naval warfare, with carrier-based HQs and large-scale combat across land, air, and sea. Its redesigned layout creates new opportunities for vehicle combat, infantry assaults, and aerial support. Custom Lobbies and Spectator ModeCustom Lobbies and Spectator Mode capabilities are arriving with the Top Gun Update on August 18 through Battlefield Labs in Live. Building on Portal, Custom Lobbies are designed to give players more control over how they set up and run matches. We see these features supporting private sessions, community tournaments, creator-led events, and more organized ways to play with friends, squads, and wider community. Spectator Mode will also give players new ways to follow the action. Initial support will include Battle Royale Quads and Conquest, with additional modes planned as the feature expands. We will share a full dedicated article on Custom Lobbies and Spectator Mode before the Top Gun update launches, with more details on how these features work and how players can start using them. Take FlightThe runway is clear. We’ll catch you in the skies above Wake Island. For the latest updates, keep an eye on Steam Discussions and our BattlefieldComm X account. If you need to report any issues, please visit EA forums. If you want to take part in Q&As, giveaways, community events, or find a squad, join the Battlefield Discord. See you on the Battlefield. //The Battlefield Team This announcement may change as we listen to community feedback and continue developing and evolving our Live Service & Content. We will always strive to keep our community as informed as possible.

PixelMonsters ARK Clan

Community Crunch 517: Sharper Than Ever

The Tickle Chicken is sharpening its claws. Thanks to your Extra Life vote, one of ARK's most iconic creatures is getting a fresh coat of feathers, all while staying true to the role Survivors have relied on for years. Rather than redefining the creature, this TLC focuses on improving combat responsiveness, controls, traversal, visual progression and expanding the creature’s personality. The Therizino has always had a reputation for turning an innocent stroll through the woods into a frantic sprint for your life, and that isn't changing anytime soon. Survivors will find that wild ones are a little more patient than they used to be. They now make their intentions crystal clear, fixing you with an unblinking stare, spreading those infamous claws, and giving you one last chance to reconsider your life choices. Whether you heed that warning is entirely up to you. Survivors will also notice that no two hardworking Therizinos look quite the same. A seasoned harvester proudly wears the marks of its trade, with claws and posture reflecting the work it does best, making every faithful companion more unique. We're also excited to reveal the brand-new Therizinosaurus dossier, offering a fresh look at this legendary creature and its place on the ARKs. Download in full resolution Species: Therizinosaurus multiensis Time: Late Cretaceous Diet: Herbivore Temperament: Territorial Like several other creatures on the ARKs, Therizinosaurus multiensis seems to be adjusting to our presence. It will even give interlopers a courtesy warning before attacking. The beast’s newfound tolerance works both ways, as tribes no longer see its encroaching populations as an existential threat. That said, a provoked Therizino is more dangerous than ever. From a safe distance you'll notice a Therizino adapted to delicate foraging will flash longer, sharper claws, while the rippers of a power-harvester get worn and chipped. Get too close, and whichever style of claws it has will tear into you with the same vicious double-swipe attack. We're lucky that it's still easy to tame a Therizino. Sedate one into submission and feed it enough, and it'll eventually fall into line. A mounted Therizino turns out to be more clever and agile than you'd expect, for such a big creature. It can turn on a dime, and hop onto or over obstacles that'd stop an Allo or Rex in their tracks. You'd be wise to enlist a Therzino's help in your tribe's fight for survival. It's a reliable and tireless harvester and those same reaping blades are formidable weapons. Saddle one up for the fierce protection it gives a rider from attackers and would-be predators. It is with wistful hearts that today we are announcing the Official Servers for 'ARK: Survival Evolved and ARK: Ultimate Survivor Edition' on Nintendo Switch will sunset on August 31st, 2026. Over a million players have explored these servers since the original ARK Switch release in 2018 and the launch of Grove Street Games' rebuilt Switch remaster in 2022. We want to thank everyone who has been a part of this journey. Please note that Unofficial Servers and Single Player modes will continue to remain fully playable after this date. Conquest, introduced to ARK: Survival Ascended by Snail Games, focuses on large-scale PvP, with increased rates, and other changes listed below. The increased rates will allow tribes to set up and establish themselves quickly and enable them to rebuild after potential losses instead of being wiped completely. The official Conquest servers are open for PC, Xbox and PlayStation. If you need any support during the Conquest season, join the Conquest Enforcement's Discord. PalWorld 1.0

Palworld 1.0 Official Launch — the massive full release update is here!

After more than two years of refining the ultimate creature-collecting survival experience, Pocketpair has officially launched Palworld 1.0. This isn't just a standard patch; it is the largest content deployment in the game's history, packed with highly requested features, map expansions, and game overhauls.

Whether you are a seasoned Pal Tamer returning to Palpagos or a fresh survivor stepping into the world for the first time, here is everything you need to know about the official launch.

📖 Massive Map Expansion: The Red Barrier Drops

The total playable map size has roughly doubled with two major new endgame zones:

  • The World Tree: The mysterious, towering landmark previously sealed behind a red barrier is finally accessible. It serves as the climax of Palworld's main story, offering difficult high-level narrative missions and a legendary Pal to capture.
  • Sunreach Sky Islands: A stunning new vertical biome of floating islands suspended high above Palpagos. This beautiful territory features distinct blue flora and requires specific aerial strategies to thoroughly navigate.

🐾 Brand New Pals & Level Cap Raised

  • 72 New Pals: The total roster has skyrocketed to 287 Pals, introducing brand-new species and powerful variants. Keep an eye out for a cat-jester named Dupin, a martial-arts panda, and an exceptional sword-eel that you can physically wield as a two-handed weapon in combat.
  • Level Cap 80: The player and Pal level caps have been increased to Level 80, opening up entirely new high-tier ancient civilization technologies and gear.

🧬 Breeding Overhauls: Mutation & Awakening

The endgame breeding loop has been completely reimagined with two brand-new systems designed for competitive min-maxers:

  • Pal Mutations: A genetic recombination mechanic allowing players to fuse genes from high-level Legendary Pals to create completely customized variants with inherited traits.
  • Awakening: Power up your favorite companions beyond their standard limitations to unlock unmatched strength and battle capabilities.

⚔️ Personal Flight, PvP, and Combat Gear

  • The Wing Pack: Say goodbye to mandatory flying mounts. This new equipment slot item gives your character personal, active flight, keeping all 5 of your Pal party slots completely free for combat.
  • Official PvP Mode: Long-requested player-versus-player combat has arrived. Tamers can now face off directly using a mix of personal firearms, specialized tactical gear, and combat-ready Pals.
  • 13 New Weapons & Gear: Expand your arsenal with a multi-targeting energy rifle, enhanced armor sets, and two completely new tiers of Pal Spheres.

🏠 Base Building & Quality of Life Enhancements

  • Ocean Base Building: Foundations can now be constructed directly on water, allowing players to establish true offshore fortresses.
  • Improved Work Suitability: Work suitability levels have expanded to 10 tiers, paired with smarter Pal AI behavior at camp to prevent unexpected idling.
  • Raid Wave System: Base raids have been reworked into engaging wave-based survival events where you can even bribe raiders to turn back.
  • Auto-Run & UI Upgrades: A one-touch auto-run function makes cross-map travel less tedious, alongside a redesigned crafting UI and nameable storage chests.

Increases speed while gliding for an extended time.· New: While in party, modifies the performance of the equipped glider. Prevents fall damage and extends the duration of high-speed gliding.Beyond these examples, many other effects have been added or refined.*For almost all Pals, we've adjusted things so that Partner Skill effects do not stack when you put multiple Pals of the same kind in your team. This widens team-building options while preventing the balance from becoming too skewed.*Partner Skill descriptions have been improved so the specific effect values are easier to understand.*Along with the effect changes, some Partner Skill names have been changed.Furthermore, combining these Partner Skills now creates more powerful synergies than ever. With the large number of changes to Pal skills, players can now tailor their team to fit any situation. Some examples include…\◆ Bow & Arrow Build· Loomen: While in party, the player's arrows explode on contact.· Robinquill Terra: While in party, increases the player's bow charge speed.→ Combining explosive arrows and faster charge speed allows you to maintain both sustained fire and high damage from long range.◆ Status Ailment Build· Renjishi: While in party, the player's attacks inflict Burn.· Jormuntide Ignis: While in party, nullifies lava damage and increases the player's and Pals' damage to enemies afflicted with Burn.· Flaracle: While in party, attacking an Ignited enemy causes additional explosion damage.→ Using Burn as a starting point, extend damage and corner enemies with sustained firepower and bonus damage.◆ Element Build· Gloopie Primo: While in party, increases Defense of Water Pals.· Kelpsea: While in party, increases Attack of Water Pals. · Penking Lux: While in party, improves players' and Pals' Water damage to enemy weak points.→ Strengthen Water Pals in both offense and defense, and further boost burst power when hitting enemy weak points.◆ Fishing Build· Solmora: While in party, makes it easier to fish up talented Pals. ·Jelliette: While in party, increases items obtained from fishing.· Gloopie: While in party, the fishing minigame is less likely to fail.· Whalaska: While in party, fishing minigames start with an increased capture gauge.→ Raise the fishing success rate and reward amounts, gathering lots of items more comfortably.Additionally, we've made numerous adjustments to make it easier to include a wider variety of Pals in your team and allow them to play a more active role.\The "increased drop item amount" effect previously only activated while fighting alongside the target Pal; from now on, it activates just by having the Pal in your party. This makes it easier to build teams for exploration and material gathering. To increase the chances of obtaining seeds, Vaelet now drops seeds while ranching. This makes preparing for farming and building your base easier. To make early-progression materials easier to gather through ranching, we added ranch suitability to some Pals and adjusted the materials obtainable through ranching. Early base operation and material gathering are now smoother. For some Pals, such as glider-enhancing Pals and Pals that follow up on the player's attacks, crafting Pal Gear is no longer required. You can use the Partner Skill the moment you catch the Pal!For Partner Skills that perform follow-up attacks, follow-up damage can no longer finish off a Pal. This makes it easier to avoid accidentally defeating a Pal you wanted to catch.\The player-healing effect of Pals such as Petallia and Lyleen has been changed from a fixed-value heal to a percentage heal based on max Health. It now remains a reliable healing method even in the late game when the player's max Health increases.Jetragon's Aerial Missile has had its power increased and cooldown shortened. You can now unleash powerful attacks with better tempo, improving the exhilaration of combat.Rushoar's charge has been adjusted to stop on the spot when it collides with ore. Your position is now less likely to shift during mining, making it easier to handle.Lamball's Fluffy Shield now has a wider defense range, making it easier to block attacks. It becomes an even more dependable presence for sudden defense and positioning support.Mimog can now open all kinds of treasure chests, even when not condensed. It becomes a more dependable presence in exploration right after you recruit it.Many other adjustments have also been made.● New Passive SkillsMany passive skills granted to Pals have been added. Powerful passives with entirely new characteristics have been introduced, bringing new possibilities to raising and selective breeding. For example:Lightfooted: Increases jump count while riding this Pal.Reload Master: Increases the player's reload speed.Ranch Master: Ranch Work Suitability +2.A new category, World Tree Passive Skills, has also been added. These are incredibly powerful passive skills, but they come with a cost…For example:Twin-Edged Holy Blade: Attack +50%. In exchange, defense decreases.Dimensional Leap: Movement speed +50%. In exchange, hunger depletes more easily.Demon's Hand: Work speed +90%. In exchange, SAN value decreases more easily.● Many New Pal Motions!Over 100 new motions in total, including…swimming, sleeping beside you, idle motions, and more, have been added to existing Pals. Many unique animations have also been added to the 47 new Pals. Pals now have more distinct personalities and display a wider range of behaviors during your adventures and life at the base. ● Major Improvements to Riding ControlsWe've improved shooting, dashing, weapon switching, and charge behavior while riding, and also adjusted the camera while riding. The sense of speed while moving is greatly improved, making riding controls more intuitive. We've also reviewed the behavior of riding Pals when turning, etc., making movement more natural. Visual immersion is improved, and riding now feels more dynamic.Additionally, you can now cancel a skill a Pal activates while riding with a jump + directional input, making it easier to adjust position and dodge during combat.Adjusted Pal and player behavior when mounting and dismounting to make riding smoother. Improved the transition from dashing into charge skills while riding. Some Pals now adjust their posture to match the terrain, resulting in more natural-looking movement and animations. Added a dedicated motion for dashing while riding.Adjusted the player's firearm aiming motion while riding.Widened the range in which you can interact with items, facilities, and other objects while riding. This makes it easier to pick up items even while mounted on larger Pals.● Work Suitability OverhaulWork Suitability Levels have been expanded to 10 levels, and the Work Suitability values of all Pals have been rebalanced. From the early game through the endgame, you'll continue to find opportunities to strengthen your base by seeking out even better work Pals.In addition, each time a Pal ranks up, one of its Work Suitability Levels will now increase. As before, reaching the maximum rank will increase all of a Pal's Work Suitability Levels. This significantly increases the value of investing in your favorite Pals and makes training decisions for base management more meaningful. We've also adjusted things so that Applied Technique items are easier to obtain. In addition, we added "Applied Ranching Handbook I," an item that raises the work suitability level of ranching.● Adjusted Capture Bonus RequirementsReduced the number of captures required to complete a Capture Bonus from 12 to 5. You can now progress more smoothly to new regions and discover new Pals at a faster pace. ● Adjusted CondensationReduced the number of Pals required to reach the maximum rank (from 116 total to 48). This reduces the burden of training and makes it easier for a wider range of Pals to excel in both combat and base operations. ● Other Adjustments & ImprovementsWhen the player remains idle for a period of time, party Pals will now also stop and face the player (They miss you!). This creates a more natural sense of partnership between Pals and their owner. Changed the inheritance rules for active skills during breeding. Inherited active skills are now randomly selected from the three active skill slots set on the parent Pals. Greatly reduced the cost of resetting a Pal’s Soul enhancements. Halved egg incubation time in newly created “Normal” and “Hard” difficulty worlds.Increased the elemental damage bonus effects of “Divine Heaven,” “Flame Emperor,” “Sea Emperor,” “Thunder Emperor,” “Spirit King,” “Ice Emperor,” “Earth Emperor,” “King of the Underworld,” and “Divine Dragon.” Enhanced the “Legend,” “Rare,” “Burly Body,” and “Diamond Body” passive skills. The “Nocturnal” passive skill has been renamed “Insomnia.” Upon respawning, players can now select Fast Travel points other than their base or starting location.Alt key inputs can now be assigned in the key configuration menu.Adjusted the item lineup of Pal Merchants and Black Marketeers to better match each region they appear in.Overall pricing has been adjusted based on Pal stats.Base Pals and party Pals will no longer lose SAN when taking damage.Reduced negative effects caused by hunger, fractures, and other status ailments.Increased Jetragon’s maximum stamina. Lovander is now a Dark type.▼ Combat● Major Rework of Player MotionsReworked overall player motions to improve responsiveness and control. Improved the feel of core actions such as movement, combat, and weapon handling.Changed the dodge action performed while attacking or aiming to a dash. This makes it easier to close the distance while avoiding enemy attacks or adjust your position while keeping your aim. Note: When not attacking or aiming, the character will perform the traditional rolling action. Attacks can now be per...

Windrose Devblog: Ashlands (WIP)

DISCLAIMER: We’re talking about plans, and plans may change. We tend to experiment a lot. If something does not work well for the game, we discard it. Prototyping a great idea can drastically change how it feels once we actually playtest it. Simply put, if something isn’t great, we tend to pivot it into something a lot better. That’s the nature of development, and it applies to the plans described below. In the end, these are general thoughts we’ll continue expanding on as development progresses.Ahoy, captains! It’s been a while since the Early Access release, thank you for making it incredible! Now that most of the post-release tasks have been addressed, we’re hard at work on Windrose’s first major content update, currently titled “Ashlands.” While development is still in its early stages, we wanted to share our general plans and give you an idea of what we’re aiming for. As always, the exact scope of the update may change as development progresses. As for our longer-term plans, those are still taking shape. Truth be told, we don’t have them fully locked in yet. While delivering Early Access, we spared no effort to make and patch the game as well as we could, and it took a real toll on us. As a result, this part had to be pushed aside for a while. Now that the game is live, feedback has poured in, and we are better equipped with your ideas and a clearer understanding of what Windrose could become in the future. In that sense, Windrose is shaped not only by our own ideas, but also by your feedback and experiences. Our goal is to first deliver Ashlands at the level of quality we expect from ourselves, learn from your impressions, and then build on that foundation with a clearer understanding of what comes next. Now, let’s discuss Ashlands. The story continuesWe have always wanted Windrose to be a survival adventure with a strong narrative layer, making the journey through its vast biomes feel meaningful. In Ashlands, you can expect both the main story and side quests to grow significantly in scope. This is where new factions enter the fray, and you’ll have to carve your way through their ambitions and schemes to continue your journey. Your hunt for the Obols continues, with the next fragment hidden somewhere among the ruins of a long-forgotten Spanish colony. The Obol’s power has twisted lands already ravaged by volcanic eruptions, making them more dangerous than ever. And let’s just say you’re not the only one searching for the artifact. As we stated before, we’re working hard to make sure you’ll be able to continue your adventure and keep all the progress you’ve already achieved.Buccaneers, refreshed — WIP Updated costume concepts for the Buccaneer faction. Other factions are getting attention as well.New armor on the horizon — WIP A first look at concept work for possible character armor sets. New biome: AshlandsWe are going to introduce a complete fourth biome: Ashlands. As the name suggests, it suffered from volcanic eruptions long ago, leaving its mark on the settlers who lived here, and on those who came after.Uncover relics and secrets of the past, preserved under volcanic ash, but be prepared for those who may still guard these treasures. You can expect a variety of new islands with new enemies, items, resources, recipes, points of interest, and, of course, a new challenging boss. Brand-new factions will enter the stage, too, and you’ll be able to expand your collection with new armor and weapon variants. We want every biome to feel and play differently, so on top of all the new content, we’re also looking into new biome mechanics to experiment with.Building and basesWe were stunned by the number of amazingly creative builds you showcased, and we’ll happily expand this aspect of the game in Ashlands. We plan to introduce a plethora of new decorations, expand the existing building sets with useful new pieces, and work on a couple of QoL improvements.Speaking of which, don’t forget to visit our community ideas page to vote for various requests and submit your own: https://windrose.support/ideasWe’re also happy to see that our camp NPCs were well received, so we’ll be looking to expand this system as well.ShipsWe feel that our ship gameplay has a lot of room for expansion, and we also have tons of your ideas and requests to draw from. It won’t be possible to tuck everything we’d like into one update, but we’ll surely experiment with and implement a few additions to this part of Windrose. Here are a few things we’re looking into:Enriching and deepening ship gameplay in ways inspired by both your feedback and our own plansMore ship classes, with at least one being added in Ashlands, plus more faction ship variantsGiving combat gameplay more care and attentionAI improvements, such as NPC ships behaving more naturally, sailing in formations, and so onWe are also aware of the popular request to add wind influence on sailing to the game. We’ll definitely be exploring this idea as well, and we originally intended to. But let us be crystal clear: we want it to be fun and simple. Windrose aims to be an adventure, without some of the more hardcore simulation aspects. And, of course, expect more shanties! We were deeply touched by how well these were received. We don’t want to spoil everything, but your collection will be significantly expanded.More ships for the seas — WIP We're currently working on the Brigantine, Fluyt, and Galleon. While plans may change, we expect at least one of these ships to make its way into Ashlands.ConclusionThat’s the general direction we’re taking with Ashlands. If you have any questions about the update, let us know in the comments. We’ll do our best to answer them in a future Q&A edition. As always, we’ll be sharing more details, including an estimated release window, as development progresses. Thank you for your incredible support, and we’ll see you soon on the seas!Kraken Express
