Greetings, Chieftains!Soulmask's major "Beyond Gravity" update is now live!To celebrate the completion of the Shifting Sands world, we've also prepared brand-new all-time-low discounts From August 31st to September 13th:New all-time low for the base game: -35%New all-time low for the DLC: -20%The Soulmask Deluxe Bundle (base game + DLC + OST) will receive an additional -10% discount on top!And if this is your first time stepping into Soulmask, you're welcome to try our newly launched Demo, where you can freely experience the game's core gameplay in the beginner rainforest area. Please note: after purchasing the full version, you can carry over your Demo save in full and continue your adventure! Now, let's take another look at everything included in "Beyond Gravity"! You can find the detailed update notes here.New Area: Venture into the Burning HighlandsBeyond the golden sea of sand lies a scorched land ruled by searing heat, savage beasts, and Sand Bandits. Rebels of a fallen dynasty were once driven into this region. Now, the most striking landmark left in the Burning Highlands is the final pyramid, no longer protected by the Death Sandstorm. Seti once unleashed that storm as a weapon of war, and the pyramid has stood without a guardian ever since. A Sand Bandit leader and his massive warship now hold this territory, sealing away the secrets within. You can break through the enemy lines from the ground, or don your Mask and take to the skies, weaving between intersecting barrages of naval gunfire to board the warship directly and dismantle this airborne fortress from within.New Challenge: Brave the New Holy RuinsDeep within the Burning Highlands, a Holy Ruins complex never mentioned by the Barbarians lies hidden beneath a canyon. Like an inverted pyramid, it descends deep underground, linked by an enormous teleportation structure to four dungeons in the east, south, west, and north. Only after completing each challenge and solving every mechanism will the central portal open. At the very bottom of the ruins, a graceful yet dangerous mechanical foe named Divine Punishment awaits upon an iron throne. The throne can transform into an array of lethal weapons, while poisonous gas fills the battlefield, leaving no room to let your guard down. Defeat her, and the mysterious Enforcer Mask beyond the gate will become your new power.Three New Masks: Choose Your Way to FightShadow Hunter enhances dodging and agility. In Mimicry, it can summon spectral felines to join the attack, with kills replenishing the number of summons available;Ruler of the Barren Sands continuously damages nearby enemies. The lower your HP, the greater its Attack Speed and sandstorm damage become, and in Mimicry it can summon a sandstorm that blankets the area;Enforcer weakens surrounding enemies with gravity waves. In Mimicry, it can perform short-range spatial jumps and suspend large groups of enemies in midair.Agile hunting, low-HP counterattacks, or gravity-based crowd control: each of these three Masks opens up a completely different approach to combat, giving you new ways to rebuild your playstyle around your preferred equipment and battle rhythm. The Floating Island: Uncover the Truth of the "Sun God"Guided by Consciousness X, you will journey into the heights of the sky and reach Floating Island. Once you have gathered the 14 Divine Crystal Fragments scattered across the world, you can reassemble the remains of the "Sun God" at a mysterious stone platform and obtain the Core Module. Carry it to the lowest level of Floating Island and activate it, and the Central Core behind the anti-gravity phenomenon and strange climate of Shifting Sands will reveal its true form. Gravity and space themselves will fall into chaos here. You must push through wave after wave of attacks and find a way to counter the powerful holographic enemies surrounding you. This ultimate battle will also write the final chapter of the Shifting Sands story.Skyborne Construction: Take Your Tribal Home into the CloudsBeyond the final adventure, "Beyond Gravity" also brings the anti-gravity technology mastered by the Consciousness into the building system itself. The new Floating Foundation frees you from the limits of the ground, allowing you to plan and construct a Floating Island of your own in the sky and suspend your tribal home above the sea of sand and ancient ruins. The accompanying Mist Collector draws water directly from the air, eliminating the need to rely on wells or rivers and giving your airborne base a steady water supply. With a skyborne home built by your own hands, you will create a new foothold for your adventures across Shifting Sands and turn the anti-gravity power discovered on your journey into a true part of your tribe.

Developer Log: "Beyond Gravity"Update - Launching August 31

Chieftains, the wait is over! It's your ever-loyal Maggie! "Beyond Gravity," the major update for the Soulmask: Shifting Sands DLC, officially launches on August 31!Alongside this update, the Soulmask base game will be 35% off and the DLC will be 20% off, both at their historic low prices, while the \ bundle will receive an additional 10% discount for even greater savings!I know that ever since the Shifting Sands DLC launched, "completeness" has been an unavoidable topic. So this time, we want to give Shifting Sands an endgame that feels both complete and substantial. This long journey across the "Shifting Sands" deserves an ending worthy of the adventure. We're also honored to be taking part in Steam's PvE Survival Crafting Fest on September 1. Enjoy exploring unknown ruins with friends? you'll also be able to build a Floating Island of your very own together. And if your friends aren't familiar with Soulmask yet, no problem. The latest Soulmask Demo is available on August 31! In the classic rainforest map, you can experience the game's core loop, from recruiting tribesmen to challenging tribal chiefs, completely free. Oh, and if you enjoy the game and decide to purchase the full version, your DEMO save can carry over directly, so you can continue your Soulmask journey right where you left off!All right, that's enough chatter. Let's take a look at what "Beyond Gravity," the final piece completing Shifting Sands, will bring.New Region: Burning HighlandThe weather here lives up to the region's name. It is utterly inhospitable to human life. Long ago, after rebels of the fallen dynasty in the "Shifting Sands" lost their uprising, the army drove them all the way into this scorched land. But those events no longer matter. The dynasty has long since fallen, the rebels have vanished without a trace, and all that remains today are deadly beasts roaming the wilds and Sand Bandits who have occupied the region for years. The most important landmark is the final pyramid. It should have remained under the eternal protection of the . However, during the final battle between the "Betrayer," Desert Overlord Set, and the Falcon King, Set unleashed the \ as a weapon of war. Since then, the pyramid has stood without a guardian. Now, a Sand Bandit chief has claimed the place as his lair. He and his colossal warship have entrenched themselves here, guarding the secrets deep within the pyramid. You can also don a Mask and take to the skies, thread your way through crossing cannon fire, land directly on the enemy ship, and bring the behemoth down from within...*Maggie has to admit, it is a real thrill. New Dungeon: Burning Highland Holy RuinsDeep within Burning Highland, beneath an unremarkable canyon, lies the last of the Holy Ruins. You have never even heard its name spoken by any barbarian. This inverted, pyramid-shaped ruin houses a vast and highly complex teleportation network. To reach its deepest point, you must conquer four dungeons to the east, south, west, and north, each with its own challenges. Only by activating their mechanisms one by one can you open the central portal. At the very bottom of the ruins, a mechanical being unlike anything you have ever seen sits upon a throne, waiting in silence. You might even call her "beautiful." But every weapon formed from her steel throne is more than capable of killing you. To defeat her, you will have to contend not only with a dizzying barrage of deadly moves, but also with the lethal poison gas that permeates the ruins.Once she is defeated, beyond the gate she guards, you will obtain the \ Mask. No record of this Mask has ever appeared in any other ruins, and its style is utterly unlike the others. Yet within it, you can feel a power pulsing from the same source as the Anti-Gravity Engine.Three New MasksAs we mentioned before, "Beyond Gravity" will introduce three brand-new Masks. In addition to the \ above, you can claim the powers of two other deities from the Sand Bandit chiefs occupying the two pyramids.\ The Mask of Bastet, the feline goddess, grants you the power of shadow and agility. Your dodges become more nimble, and while in Mimicry, you can summon a phantom Cats to assist your attacks. By hunting other creatures, you can replenish its summon charges more easily.\ The Mask of Set. As the first deity to betray the Sun God, he commands the power of sandstorms. Enemies near the Mask wearer continuously take damage. While in Mimicry, the lower your HP, the greater your attack speed and sandstorm damage become. You can even summon a sandstorm that covers an entire area, weakening enemies across a wide range.\ You do not know where this mysterious Mask came from. Its innate gravity wave weakens all nearby enemies and grants you a power that shares its origin with the airship. While in Mimicry, it allows you to perform rapid, short-range spatial jumps on your own. You can even wield gravity like the gods themselves, lifting every barbarian in an entire camp into the air.Three Masks mean three completely new playstyles. Pair \ with a dodge-focused build to dispatch enemies quickly; combine heavy armor and a large health pool with \ to grow stronger as the fight intensifies; and as for , we'll leave its strange powers for you to discover.Once you have claimed these new powers and made your preparations, , your longtime companion, will guide you toward the final secret of the "Shifting Sands." High above you, deep in the sky, the "Sun God" awaits reactivation within that Floating Island. The Origin of It AllThroughout your adventures across the world, you should already have acquired quite a few . Ancient barbarian scrolls claim that these are pieces of the remains left behind after the "Betrayer," Set, killed the "Sun God." Once you have collected 14 fragments, you can recover what was once the Sun God's complete remains at a mysterious stone platform: the "Core Module."At the lowest level of the Floating Island, within a vast chamber, activate the Core Module and you will finally see the true form of what has always been called the "Sun God." It is the source controlling every anti-gravity phenomenon and strange climate pattern across the "Shifting Sands," the "Central Core" of this world. You do not know why it suddenly attacks you, but this battle against the Central Core is destined to be one of the most unforgettable experiences in Shifting Sands. Here, gravity and space are thrown completely into disarray. Amid waves of attacks and formidable holographic enemies, you must find a way to counter the Central Core.I don't want to spoil too much here. This is the final battle that brings every story in Shifting Sands to its conclusion, and the endgame of your adventure in this world. The rest is yours to experience. What Else Is There?Of course, there is more. Anti-gravity technology has allowed the Consciousness to develop Floating Foundations, enabling you to build a Floating Island of your very own. There is also the Water Vapor Collector, a large device suspended in midair that can keep your clan supplied with water even without a well or river nearby. As the final piece completing Shifting Sands, "Beyond Gravity" carries our deepest commitment. We hope to deliver the best content we can and make the world of the "Shifting Sands" feel truly complete, vivid, and compelling. Our work to improve Soulmask will not stop here. After September, we will continue optimizing the game and strengthening its guidance systems. And if you haven't joined us yet, don't forget that on August 31, you can start by trying the Demo!See you again next Monday. Let's continue the adventure together!

Soulmask August Overhaul Report: What's Next?

Hey, Chieftains! Before we knew it, we're already well past the halfway point of our 90-Day Overhaul Plan.If you've been keeping up with Soulmask lately, you've probably noticed that something is stirring once again deep within the Shifting Sands. A new region, new Masks, and the secrets still waiting to be uncovered behind that world floating in the sky... Honestly, Maggie has been holding back for a long time just to keep herself from spilling everything right at the start. But before we venture farther, we'd like to pause and look back at the ground we've already covered. Over the past two months, we haven't just been adding more content to the world. We've also been working to remove, one by one, the everyday frustrations Chieftains encounter on their journeys. What Have We Addressed Over the Past Two Months?Long story short, throughout June and July, we focused on several issues that repeatedly affected the day-to-day experience.Tribesmen are no longer quite so obsessed with running back and forth between storage chests. You shouldn't have to keep wondering whether someone is contemplating the meaning of life at the foot of the stairs again.World Portals now truly connect the two worlds, allowing you to travel freely between Golden Sands and Misty Forest.Building has also become much easier. Pick up any building hammer, and you can build directly using raw materials from your inventory and camp storage chests. We've reworked a range of attack animations, jumps, evade, stagger, and hit reactions.Boss disengage timers, health regeneration rates, and certain values have also been adjusted. We want combat to be challenging, not unreasonable. As for the HUD, we're still approaching it with care. We've started with status details, quest guidance, and control prompts, making sure everything appears where it belongs.Alright, that's enough looking back for now.Because in August, we want to tackle a different kind of problem: As your world grows larger, your tribe expands, and its systems become more complex, how can we make sure you can still understand your entire tribe at a glance?A New Look for the Main MenuPreviously, pressing \ brought up more than a dozen modules at once, including Character, Mask, Crafting, Technology, and Tribe Management. They're all important, and that was precisely the problem: when you wanted just one of them, searching through that wall of menus was hardly a comfortable experience. This time, we've reorganized all of that content into a two-tier menu under the \ interface. The first tier divides everything into broad categories, while the second opens the specific pages within each category. Whether you're checking character progression or handling crafting and tribe affairs, we hope this clearer structure will help you find the module you need as intuitively as possible. The \ screen is now a much cleaner function menu:We prefer to think of this UI overhaul as tidying up a room. Nothing has disappeared; everything has simply been put back where it belongs.Of course, redesigning the Main Menu is only the first step. Next, we decided to begin with the area that takes up the most time and causes the most confusion: assigning work to your Tribesmen. The Right Job for Every TribesmanWhen a tribe is first established, assigning jobs isn't complicated. With only three or five Tribesmen around, Chieftains generally know who is good at logging and who should be cooking. But things change completely once your camp grows into a large settlement with fully loaded automation lines and warehouses overflowing with materials. You may have dozens of Tribesmen, each with different proficiencies, talents, and job statuses. Having to open their pages one at a time... well, we're sure the Chieftains who have been through it remember the experience all too well. That's why we've created a new Tribesman Work Assignment UI. All Tribesmen and jobs are arranged in one clear matrix, where you can review their current assignments and quickly filter for Tribesmen with the right talents for each job. For example, when you need a truly reliable craftsman, candidates with a maximum proficiency of 100 or higher will immediately stand out from the crowd.More importantly, job assignments are no longer a simple choice between "do" and "don't." Together with the camp inventory system, you can tell your Tribesmen what matters most right now and what can wait.Perhaps you want your miners to secure the metal supply before hauling miscellaneous items. Or perhaps an experienced cook can tend the fields during quieter periods, but should return to the stove immediately whenever food stocks run low. We don't want Chieftains to have to watch every Tribesman's status like a babysitter, constantly reminding them what to do next.New Weapon Mastery TrainingThe Training Ground now has a more important role to play. You can assign mentors and trainees, allowing Tribesmen to learn any Weapon Mastery through training. The once rigid skill boundaries between different weapon proficiencies can now be broken here. This means that when you meet a Tribesman truly worth bringing home, you no longer need to hesitate just because they're missing one powerful Mastery. You can preserve their strengths, then fill in what's missing through training, gradually shaping them into the warrior you truly need and a companion you can rely on.Instead of endlessly searching for someone who was "born perfect," you can now tailor a warrior of your own.Another Chance After You FallIn the world of Soulmask, a single lapse in judgment can bring you down in seconds.Maybe the boss's next attack comes faster than expected. Maybe one roll is half a second too slow. Once your HP reaches zero, all you can do is watch everything start over. That's why we've added a new ability: .When the player-controlled character is Severely Injured or in Feign Death, you can use it to restore all HP. It has a 60-second cooldown and is unavailable in War Mode. In other words, it doesn't make danger disappear. Instead, at the worst possible moment, it puts the choice back in your hands.Once you're back on your feet, whether you create some distance and make your escape or continue the unfinished battle is entirely up to you.The Most Important Part Is Still AheadBut we know that some Chieftains have been waiting since the beginning for us to talk about something else.Deep within Golden Sands lie an entirely new region, brand-new Masks, the secret that allows this world to float in the sky, and the true nature of the Sun God... All of them are hidden among dangers no one has yet set foot in.For now, please allow Maggie to keep this part a little mysterious. We'll see you then
